I have tried many money management apps looking for one that would incorporate ease of use while providing me with sufficient information to oversee my accounts. This application has nearly everything I could want. I'm waiting for the additional feature of incorporating the ability to split expenses as when making purchases in big box stores where one might buy groceries, clothing, books and other items that are budgeted individually. For those who still remember the benefit of a check register and using it to manage a budget. Extra bells and whistles of categories, regular transactions and auto payments. Has combined old school techniques with new world transactions. I like it and rely on it

This is BY FAR the BEST app in its category. It's easy to use and definitely worth the purchase. I would've given it five stars if I could group transactions, change the colour scheme and export images/receipts.

This has been a great app for me. I’ve been budgeting very well, and I no longer receive late fees because I’m keeping track of my finances.

I'd looked for a good app for tracking balances for a long time and been very frustrated with the apps that either wanted me to hand over my bank info to guess what I'm spending money on or wanted me to divide money into "envelopes" then try not to use all the money in the envelope. This app lets me be in control of how things are documented. Appreciate the updates with color and absolutely happy to pay a small yearly fee since they are continuously updating the app. I've been using it for 12 years now and it's very helpful especially for self employed people like me with variable cash flow.

I put this app on my phone yesterday and I absolutely love it!!! I love having my checkbook on my phone and this app is the best one out there.

I like it but wish they would stop asking me to rate it

This app helps me keep track of all my accounts and helps me understand where my money goes instead of wondering where it went. I can pull reports per month with dollars and percentages by category or by location. I didn’t realize how much I spent on online shopping, especially the online giant that promises 2 day shipping. Money Monitor has helped me stay on track with my budget and let’s me know if I overspend in a certain category. The only downside that I have experienced is that you have to manually key in everything. I wish it could connect to my accounts and auto populate information. Overall Money Monitor is easy to use and has been vital to my everyday life. I can plan ahead and keep track of every penny that comes in and out.

Great App to keep track of your expenses and to reconcile against your accounts.

Overall the app is amazing! Just a few things to make it better: Would like to be able to sort transaction within an account from most recent to oldest. Would like to make “overdue” bills go away if the partial amount was the only amount I plan to pay or I have nothing due on it for that month.

I like having one place to balance my individual accounts. I like charts that show my spending and savings. I like the way I can indicate whether something has cleared. I like that it is straight forward and simple to use and dependable!

I have tried several APPS for budgeting and this is the very best one.

The app is really useful to keep track of my cash expenses, but I wish it had a text export.

I’ve loved this app for a long time the new update really through me off. The reports section had been messed up for me. But it turns out that it was just a setting change. They responded fairly fast through the contact support in the app. I’m pleased this is a great app. Especially for those who mostly handle cash. You can customize this very well with some nice reports. Update: August 2024 Still a great app. Stopped using it for awhile because I lost track of my income. But I’m using it again. And my god. This app is great for cash users. Really helps you stay organized and plan your finances well.

It’s great for manually tracking expenses. I prefer it over a spreadsheet and my wife can use it too from her phone. My only feedback is to have more icon options for different expenses

Love this app.

What I like: 1. No data connection required. It’s usable anywhere, storing the data local on your phone. 2. Foreign Currency support - you can setup accounts in any currency. It will even compute exchange rates to give the value in your home currency. 3. Flexibility - fully customizable accounts, categories, and payees for fitting your own situation and style of financial record keeping. 4. Negative Expenses - it allows entry of negative expenses, allowing me to properly document the return of purchases. 5. Reports - I can easily see pie charts and reports of expenditures by category or payee for any given time period 6. Search - search for transactions by key word 7. Calendar view - see how much was spent on each day of the month, being able to drill down to the details 8. Picture - link a picture to a transaction What I don’t like: 1. The newer free version has lots of invasive ads. 2. Would like to attach more than one picture per transaction sometimes. I’m very meticulous about tracking my finances. I started spending a lot of time overseas and found it very difficult to keep on top of my spending, as all my transactions were in a foreign currency, in cash, and I never received receipts for my purchases. I then found this app. It allows me to setup accounts in any foreign currency, track my expenditures on my phone which allows me to track the spend as it’s happening, and it doesn’t require a data connection, storing everything local on the phone. The free version served me well for several years, having enough functionality to be very useful and do what I needed. The downside is that the current free version has a lot of intrusive ads that weren’t there in the older version. I’m glad I didn’t have to deal with those. I finally ran into the transaction limit on the free version and decided it was well worth the price to upgrade to pro, as I’m now overseas full time. It has done everything I needed it to do with ease and I’ll be continuing to use it to track all my cash transactions.

It’s an ok app, but it keeps interrupting asking for a review, which is incredibly annoying. I have the paid app so I am expecting a better experience without interruptions.

Make it a habit to categorize all expenses and incomes, and you will be amazed of the reports that this app can produce. Allows you to see a breakdown of where your money goes. Highly recommended.

Fairly reliable (sometimes crashes on data entry), simple & quite useful for analytics. Could use a repeat entry feature for duplicate purchases Improvements should be made now that its a subscription app

I've been using this app for a few years now & I love how easy it is to use & set up. Keeping track of bills & budgets is extremely easy to set up in this app, which says a lot since many apps aren't as intuitive.

I’ve been using this app for 7 years. I’ve tried other apps throughout that time but always return to this one as it is really unbeatable. This app serves as a ledger, bill monitor and budgeting tool all in one.

FRAUD!!! Purchased full price some years ago to get unlimited transactions. Now they tell me I must pay a monthly subscription fee to continue to use the app that I already purchased outright. This is FRAUD. I will be filing complaints with Apple, and the FTC This was one of the only apps that I've actually paid for. I purchased the app outright. Now, in order for me to get pro features they want me to pay a monthly subscription fee. To get pro features that I already paid for when I purchased the pro version of this app before they had a monthly subscription fee structure. Seems illegal to me!

Nice and easy to use

This app is perfect for what I use it for to keep up with my checking and savings accounts. I've thrown away my paper register.

I love this app have been using it for years. It is a very easy and simple way to track all of your spending. Budgeting is so easy! Love the automatic back up and bill pay reminders.

Been using it for years.. great product

I've used Quicken's desktop program for years and now Money Monitor for years instead. Quicken was too hard, and reconciliation never came out right. Money Monitor is not a Quicken substitute, I use it for budgeting purposes and to print my yearly expenditures for tax purposes at the end of the year. It is easy to set up a budget and see where the money goes and how much is left for the month. Budget category amounts can be rolled over to the next month. The category reports are spot on, and are so helpful with my taxes since I put the expenditures in the tax categories I’ve created. The only glitch these past 2 years is at the beginning of the year there is a strange budget category additional entry of December 31-Jan. 31 as well as the usual Jan1-Jan31, and an additional entry of Jan 30-31. I reported this a year ago, but it happened again. Had to check all my budget categories and adjust the amounts rolled over to the correct amounts. In the past, Money Monitor developers responded to any query or concern I’ve had and helped me. I’m sure they will fix this problem. I’ve renewed for another year because the program is just that helpful to me. It’s worth it!

This app is very good and covers many expenses.

I’ve used this app for a long time, then stopped. Ended up reinstalling it because it is the best bill tracker that fit my needs. Very easy to use!

I have used this app for years and love it. My only complaint is that I have to scroll and choose category every time and the purchase isn’t automatically classified from previous notations.

the best part is that you can use the same account on iPhone and iPad.

I love how you don’t have to upload your bank information, how you can have multiple accounts and budgets and it’s easy to add new transactions. It’s also really nice being able to see graph reports of your spending and budget. I’m not crazy about the latest upgrade because of how it looks and I don’t like the keypad for adding the money amount as well, but otherwise I really like it.

It’s more accurate than my banking account. Highly recommend for tracking your spending.
